The Streamzap remote is a great IR remote with an ergonomic body, housing sturdy buttons arranged in an intuitive layout. If you use KnoppMyth, it's automatically supported with intuitive defaults for MythTV. In an upgrade or new installation, KnoppMyth will detect, install, and configure it for you. If you bought the remote after upgrading, simply run lirc-reconfig.sh as root to automatically install and configure the remote.

If you don't use KnoppMyth, all you need to make the Streamzap work in MythTV is LIRC 0.7.2, an lircrc file, and an /etc/lirc/lircd.conf file. NOTE: if you are not using KnoppMyth, you may need to edit the lircrc file to change the keybindings.

Because all the Linux software you need for the remote is available online, the remote and the IR receiver are all that we ship! The remote requires two AAA batteries, which are not included.
